Meet Shah Atiqur Rahman, Software Engineering Manager, Listing Intelligence. We spoke with him about his function in leading our Listing Intelligence (Search) group and the methods in which he makes a distinction at Realtor.com. Here's what he stated: Q. Tell us about your group. A. We own nine backend search services that are core to the company's success. Among the most essential is the Search API, which powers results on the Search results page page. Our tech stack includes Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, Docker, EKS and AWS artifacts. We likewise work carefully with the Machine Learning team to bring AI-driven functions to the customer experience, such as search significance enhancements and AI-powered search. We're a collaborative, friendly team that prioritizes strong onboarding and continuous support. New employee are guided through the ramp-up procedure till they're positive taking full ownership of their work. Each employee is valuable to other employee when dealing with challenges. We value a culture where wins are well known freely, and setbacks are owned together. We also make time for team-building, whether it's virtual hangouts or in-person parties, to keep sociability strong. Q. What's your greatest accomplishment so far at Realtor.com? A. I'm most proud of the professional development I've attained considering that signing up with Realtor.com as a Software Engineer over 7.5 years earlier. Throughout this journey, I have actually developed deep domain expertise, remained current with progressing industry practices, and consistently worked with modern-day technologies. My dedication to constant learning and effect resulted in my promo to Staff Software Engineer and my function as one of the team's technical leads. Most just recently, I've handled the duty of being the People Leader for the team-an exciting next step that enables me to support others in their growth while continuing to drive technical direction. I take pride in the truth that my long tenure here hasn't slowed my growth-instead, it's been a platform for me to evolve technically and handle greater management Q. What should somebody wanting to join us in #Tech understand? A. Realtor.com offers interesting technical challenges, from large-scale information dealing with to real-time search, personalization, and AI/ML combination.
